Elissa Goldberg works primarily in pastels to capture scenes from her travels. The medium allows for an immediate expression of her ideas and to create paintings with simultaneously subtle yet bold color. Using various techniques, she captures the soft sea spray of waves and the soft sand of windswept dunes. There is an intentional hint of the abstract to Elissa’s work allowing the viewer to become involved with the scene rather than simply observe it.
